Local Donations and Community Project Fund

Centerra Gold Inc. is proud to support community-based organizations local to our project sites and offices in British Columbia. We are pleased to grant financial and in-kind contributions to organizations and/or projects either working in, or providing support for, our local communities.

While we recognize the value and importance of all community programs, our investment will be prioritized in the following areas:

  1. Education
  2. Environment
  3. Health & Wellness
  4. Community Development
  5. Economic Development/Diversification

Centerra will not support requests received from, or related to, the following:

  • Religious organizations (except where they represent a non-denominational community or social service)
  • Political organizations and/or candidates
  • Individuals
  • For-profit organizations
  • Endowments or debt reduction campaigns
  • Operating expenses including overhead, salaries, and travel costs
  • Retroactive requests

Community Project Fund

Some projects may be eligible for funding through our Community Project Fund (CPF). The CPF awards grants of up to $10,000 to groups and projects that meet specific criteria for sustainable community development. Please read the Terms of Reference and review the Application Form (Word doc and Excel sheet) to determine if your project is eligible. Once your application is complete, please complete our online form and attach it to your application here:

The Centerra Gold & Royal Gold Academic Award

The Centerra Gold Community Scholarship
